1. I'm not sure I'll get to it tonight... but on deck is a 3-lb pork tenderloin...
.
.
.
... and I've got the makings for a basic Chinese orange sauce, red bell peppers,
onion, mandarin oranges, and tiny frozen green peas.
.
.
May put it on top of angel hair pasta as a kind of lo mein.

13. You were in Santa Fe at this time?
I actually have never heard of this place. Don't know why not since they've been there for 50 years, but I haven't... Looks to be on the outskirts of S.F. I'll have to check it out some time soon. The Owl Cafe in San Antonio, NM (just outside of Socorro) has the rep for being the green chile cheeseburger king here, but these guys sure sound like they know what they're doing .Like I said, gonna have to check it out. And a classic NM moment; having the owners talk about opiates and "a rush" in the interview. I played 2 days last Sept. at the Hatch Chile Festival (where most of the really good stuff comes from, or thereabouts) and had some pretty damn good green chile burgers (and chicken /green chile sandwiches too) at Sparky's in Hatch.
BTW , there is actually an "official state question" here. (Musta been an unusually slow day in the legislature) It's "Red or green"... meaning of course, do you want red or green chile with that.

4. Bacon!
With a massive pile of cauliflower, onion and mushrooms sauteed in the grease with cinnamon, turmeric and black pepper, with leftover chicken, the bacon, and a couple eggs tossed in at the end.

Lunch was bacon with a massive pile of chopped green beans and eggs.

(down 20 pounds since I started my bacon diet)

5. I'm starting a salad diet. Hope it goes well. I just have to get over some stress and I'll start the
diet.

6. It kind of sounds like you already started it!
The nice thing is that healthier eating will help with the stress, too. I started mine in a period of high stress (being told by my surgeon that maybe it would be best to refer me to an oncologist, she was afraid about spreading cancer once she opened me up, there's something you don't want to hear!)

Turned out not to be cancer, btw, but the diet and biking like a maniac was definitely a good coping mechanism for me.

I'm also not hungry thanks to the protein in the cobb salad.
