Dallas Protest - the Truth
The Dallas Protest ws probably THE MOST EFFECTIVE EVER. Why do you ask. Because there were people wrapped around that First Amendment Zone corner, totalling about 200 very active and vocal participants. The location was off an access ramp during RUSH HOUR. AND the Mary Kay Convention was there. Women from all around the US and elsewhere saw how Bush was hated. Saw in realtime a Bush protest and they were astonished! Some looked in awe, some took pictures, some waved. But there was TOUR BUS after TOUR BUS of WOMEN passing thourgh. They will have a lot to tell their friends back home. That was the best thing about the Dallas protest. And the support from the Truckers (horns) on the highway overhead kept everyone stoked! That was the best protest ever. People drove by and gave the peace sign, honked, waved, smiled. Some gave us the finger. But overall, they were glad to see us out there because they could not afford to be seen there, but they appreceiated and supported us.

1. Excellent!
We protested in NYC and had the type of reaction. The weekly protests we attend in a plush New England suburb also had the same type of postitive reactions. I would say we need to get the truth out -- but so many seem to know it. We need, I guess, to get people to take action! Thanks for the update.

2. You all rock!
Is there any video footage available? Would love to see it. In Florida, we used to get all sorts of dissin' from truck drivers. Maybe your experience is a sign that the tide is turning :-)

4. We got a lot of positive crowd reinforcement when we protested Smirk
in Dallas in Nov. 2002 as well. It'd take a miracle to put Texas in the win column in 2004 but I've brought three co workers over from the dark side and am working on two more. If you have reasonable discourse with the ones who still are willing to listen many of them are amazed at what is going on. They have no real facts to back up their trust in Smirk and I've got a truckful of bubblebursters.

Winning hearts and minds one vote at a time and I haven't had my ass kicked yet.

5. Way to go Dallas!
It's never easy in this state to get our message out. The Stepford virus having infected most people a long time ago. The only people who have been immune to the disease are those that stayed awake.

Thank you for the update and your participation mjb4!
Keep it going!

6. Never saw the movie...
but didn't those Stepford wives wake up eventually?

That's a howl about the Mary Kay women. There's an interview on here someplace about them acting like they are so dumb, but maybe this is the first drop in drip...drip...drip!!

7. funny thing revcarol is they're going to do a remake
How timely no? Nicole Kidman and Bette Midler star. Release date is sometime in 2004, just before the general elections.

We can only hope that more people are in fact awake in 2004.

8. Really cool moments
I was astonished when some paramedics drove by in their Fire Station MICU. They actually honked and waved!! Firemen!!! Another great moment was a limo driver hauling some corpulent repugs to the meeting with Fearsome Leader - the screen was up between him and his riders and he gave me a little thumbs up!!

9. Smirk screwed the fireman, broke all promises for funding for
First responder preparation. REmember from
the pile of rocks and the horn at the World
Trade Center. Screwed the cops too. And
now the servicemen. Uniformed people know
what smirk is.

And don;t forget truckdrivers are usually
labor union people. Ya know what he did to
them.
