CLEVELAND --

...On Jan. 3, Cimperman staged a media event at Kucinich's office. He went inside and dropped off a "Missing Dennis" poster, commenting on Kucinich's run for the presidency's impact on his job here.

A Kucinich staffer says Cimperman violated security rules at federal buildings by barging in unannounced with a camera rolling.

That also could have compromised the privacy and confidentiality of constituents in the office seeking help, the staffer said...

Cimperman Delivers 'Welcome Back' Gift Basket to Kucinich

http://www.myfoxcleveland.com/myfox/pages/News/Detail?contentId=5437269&version=2&locale=EN-US&layoutCode=TSTY&pageId=3.2.1

Cleveland City Councilman Joe Cimperman is eager to take on Congressman Dennis Kucinich in the race for the 10th Congressional District, but Cimperman probably doesn't want to take on the Congressman's wife Elizabeth again.

Cimperman showed up at the doorstep of the Kucinich home armed with a "Welcome Back" gift basket...

Elizabeth Kucinich answered the door and said, "I am afraid we can't accept gifts from people who are wrapped up with Washington special interests."

Cimperman doesn't currently live in the district he would like to represent. She handed him a floral arrangement and said, "I understand you do not live in the district, so welcome."...

Cimperman – A Politician Bought & Paid in Full

http://www.clevelandleader.com/node/4245

...The question, however, arises, since Kucinich represents his constituents well and he pursues a progressive alternative to the usual status quo politician, what and who will Cimperman represent?

...In essence, are the developers funding Cimperman?

With each significant donor, the reporter should apply the standard, “Has the donor ever received, or might expect to receive, special favors from the downtown Councilman.”

The truth is that Cimperman has been a sponge for donations from the top developers in Cleveland. Or anyone else within reach...

Joe Cimperman is lead fund-raiser among candidates for Kucinich's seat

In the short sprint to become the next Cleveland congressman, Joe Cimperman has banked $226,000 for his campaign, which he launched one month ago.

Cimperman, one of four Democrats seeking the 10th Congressional District seat held by fellow Democrat Dennis Kucinich, raised far more money than any other primary candidate in the race.

The four announced candidates voluntarily shared their fund-raising totals, which can be verified when they file finance reports at the end of the month.

Cimperman, a Cleveland councilman who represents downtown, benefited from connections he has made with developers and business executives...

...Kucinich did not name him but referred to Cimperman, who has quickly raised $226,000 for his campaign, as a candidate representing corporate interests.

"Visualize millions of dollars pouring in to try to squash our efforts," Kucinich said. He also complained that Cimperman visited his home Wednesday morning...

Kucinich described the visit as a surprise that was the most intrusive political act in his 40 years in public life...

Kucinich's portrayal of the event caused several labor leaders to yell, "We got your back."...

3. I've lived in Joe Cimperman's City Council district since before he was even a Councilman.

He was promising at first, but he's become an opportunist and an investor-class toady of the worst kind. NO WAY would he have had the courage to swim against the tide and vote no on that awful bill. And no way would I support him for congress over Dennis.

1. oy that last sentence you pasted was hard to digest!

"All candidates for the Democratic 1Oth District slot including Kucinich will debate Kucinich had dodged debates in past Congressional campaigns."

That could be possibly missing a period.... is it two sentences w/ second one being "Kucinich had dodged debates in past Congressional campaigns" ?

are choc-ful of anti-Kucinichness.they are also affiliated with the Plain Dealer somehow,so they are as fraudulent as their retired general/Republiclown/anchorman's 'hair'.so I was trying to delete some of their tired b.s. to make their report more reality-based.

3. Cleveland Leader-Another Juvenile Stunt by Cimperman Gets
Him a Visit from the Feds

http://www.clevelandleader.com/node/4376

Submitted by Eugmc on January 17, 2008 - 9:35am.

Joe Cimperman, who is trying to unseat Congressman Dennis Kucinich from his seat, pulled yet another stunt in his bid to attract attention to his campaign. Cimperman, who is a Cleveland City Council member, pulled a Michael Moore and barged in on Kucinich's office.

Little did Cimperman realize, however, that by invading a designated office space with a camera he violated federal law. Cimperman was visited by Homeland Security and told that he should avoid a stunt like that again.

Cimperman had already made an ass out of himself when he visited Kucinich's with a welcome home basket after he had been campaigning. He met Dennis' wife Elizbeth Kucinich and her sharp tongue when she told him that, "I am afraid we can't accept gifts from people who are wrapped up with Washington special interests."

So, Cleveland voters will decide between a wanna-be Congressman (who does not even live in the district) that pulls stunts such as those on MTV's Jackass show, or a veteran Congressman who has a national audience. You decide who the better choice is.

Here is the video that prompted the visit from the Feds:-

7. DON'T CALL BUILDING SECURITY ON A STALKER ASSHOLE!
Edited on Sun Jan-20-08 03:25 PM by Algorem
...Kucinich , who is seeking a seventh term to Congress while aggressively running for president, believed the incident violated the privacy of constituents visiting his office.

"The people must have some assurances that their government does not allow individuals to enter the premises and film them while they are seeking federal assistance," Kucinich's office wrote in a letter to the Federal Protective Service. An agency under the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, it has law enforcement jurisdiction over government offices.
