"I want the one with the Broad"
http://www.christineborne.net/cleveland_accent/2008/03/i-want-one-with-broad.html

Despite the fact that the entirety of Ohio City was coated in black ice, we made it to our nearly empty polling place this morning to find Dennis! signs dotting the lawn.

(Note: we don't live in the 10th district. Was this, then, a plot to confuse those ignorant voters into casting a presidential vote for Kucitizen Number One? Well, we did. Jim's brother in Chillicothe did too, except when he went to the polls for early voting last week, they were telling voters, "some of these candidates have since dropped out of the race, so don't vote for them." The poll workers were telling people that. God Bless America!)

Perhaps the highlight of the experience, however, was the rough-and-tumble fellow in line in front of me who, when asked whether he wanted a Democratic or Republican ballot, got agitated and said, "I dunno -- I want the one with The Broad!"

With newest flier, Joe Cimperman, "Democract For Congress," loses fourth-grade spelling teacher vote

http://blogs.clevescene.com/cnotes/2008/03/with_newest_flier_joe_cimperma.php

With tomorrow's primary looming, all eyes of the 10th District are on Joe Cimperman as his campaign to oust incumbent Dennis Kucinich reaches a fever pitch, and the downtown Councilman dwindles his coffers by leaving stacks of fresh fliers throughout the district. The newest flier (above) looks good at first glance, featuring photos documenting the average day of a Cleveland councilman (counterclockwise from upper left: describing the future to Ambiguous Race Guy, explaining to local cop why he should beat Ambiguous Race Guy less often, empathizing with Poor Seniors about the price of Thorazine, reading a storybook to Little Kids on a Stoop, welcoming Middle-Class Mixed-Race Family to the neighborhood, assuring Concerned Rich White Family that arrival of Mixed-Race family is not a portent of things to come). It’s all quite professional — except for the giant announcement on the lower-right corner announcing Cimperman as the “Democract for Congress”.

He may have lost the valuable copy-editor vote with that one.

1. Plus, it's hard to pronounce!
I pronounce and reject Joe Cimperman.

Go, Dennis.
