Sen. Clinton bringing message to Canton

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will visit Mississippi Thursday, a campaign staffer announced.

Sen. Clinton will be the keynote speaker at the Mississippi Democratic Party Jefferson Jackson Hamer Day Dinner, according to senior adviser Burns Strider.

“There is no other place she'd rather be,” Strider said in a statement to the media.

The event is set for 7:30 p.m. at the Canton Multipurpose & Equine Center.

The Clinton campaign announced earlier today that Bill Clinton will be in Hattiesburg, Meridian and Tupelo on Friday to campaign for his wife.

Obama is not scheduled for any time in the state. But I think the Clintons are making him defend it, so that schedule may change. It ain't gonna be a cakewalk for him here.
