Graham: State Dept expert said he was pressured to "tailor" intelligence
Sen. Graham noted today that the Bush Administration has a history of pressuring intelligence experts, citing specific hearings and testimony.

I cannot understand how this White House can continue to be so secret and think the American people will be satisfied with such secrecy by their own Executive Branch!

4. Passion for the job
Yet another reason why I am a supporter of Bob Graham is I sense his passion for the job. (Read: I am not trying to put down the candidates, I am simply reciting observations of mine.) Edwards knows he has plenty of chances to get this job. Gephardt ran and lost and passed up 92 96 and 00 to run til finally now when he runs again. Lieberman has said he has already "won" but not much else. I just feel like Graham understands this is his last hurrah. He's been term-limited as Governor and is now a three-term United States Senator, and this is his final step, and as an elder statesman this will be his first and final chance to reach the highest level. And so, while I am disappointed in fundraising totals (make that VERY disappointed) I really do feel that Graham will be there in the end, win or lose, he'll run this campaign all the way through because he abhors Dubya and all he wants is to leave his ten grandchildren a quality place in which to live. Graham may never accelerate in the fundraising race, I really don't know at this point, but he's sticking with his message. While Edwards, Lieberman, Gephardt could drop out if their poll numbers and/or money totals don't lead the pack, Graham will stick to it.

Bob Graham has an extremely safe Senate seat. He just recently toiled through surgery. He is not young any longer. But he is willing to give up an easy reelection, and deal with the hassles of a nationwide campaign at this point in his life, because he believes this is his chance, that this is an administration that is hurting America every single day.

It's great that so many Democrats want this Presidency. But you listen to Bob Graham, and maybe he's not going to draw 3000 people toward him but if you hear those words this is a guy who will really speak his mind whether it's popular or not. When the War Resolution was up for vote, some Dems voted for it for various reasons, others voted against it as an anti-war movement statement. And then there was Graham, essentially the 100th Senator, all alone, voicing this concern for radical terrorist groups, voting against the resolution for a reason unlike any other Senator. That is the voice of a truly independent maverick :) . He was the first guy to compare Dubya to Nixon--on May 29--by citing a "Nixonian stench" lingering in the White House. What many people don't understand is that Bob Graham is popular in Florida for being a low-key guy, for being rather nonpartisan--not for being such an outspoken critic. But he is fed up with the current administration and he knows what needs to be done to fix this country up.

So this is it for Sen. Graham. And he knows it. And he will not stop spreading his message.
