1. Seems to make Dean and Clark's national support even more impressive...
Their ratio of support to the percentage who know them is significantly higher than Lieberman, Sharpton, Gephardt or Kerry.

2. This one frightens me:
Joe Lieberman 81% 87%

So, 13% of people who voted in 2000 have never heard of Joe Lieberman? Sad.

3. The 13% are the ones who favor him now.
I think.

No. A sample of 596 Democrats and independents were asked "Which of the following Democratic presidential candidates have you heard of?"

For Joe Lieberman 81% had heard of him; for those who voted in 2000 the figure was 87% who said they had heard of him.

Check out table in story itself. It didn't block & copy too well.

Coincidentally, the second question is for first preference of which Lieberman gets 13% and 14% respectively.

But the interesting numbers here are the extent to which democrats and independents are unfamiliar with the candidates.

6. What I absolutely love about this poll...
... is the Kooch's numbers for the "which candidates have you HEARD of" question.

Explains the other numbers pretty well. ;)

Kucinich has an October goal of $400K. He's at $398,341 as of now. All extra funds over the goal will go directly towards ads in Iowa and New Hampshire.

Go Kooch! :D

7. Since Dennis is the most likely to win if nominated, the news media
had been trying to keep his existence a secret.

8. DK is..
.. the candidate most likely to lead this party to a defeat of unprecedented proportions.

Waiter? Reality check for table 2 over there! :eyes:
