I just downloaded the vp3 codec from vp3.com and the video doesn't play. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

3. QuickTime Player can play them. That's what I use.

Some other media players play vp3 as well, but I don't know the entire list.

4. The codec is supposed to work in WMP

but they also have a QT plugin, I'll try that. We'll see if it works in QT Alternative. Meanwhile, you might want to double check your options when you encode.

Thanks a bunch for all the encoding you do. It's invaluable.

6. you might have to change the extension...

try changing the extension from .vp3 to .mov
