Bush is considering starting the Draft
Bush says he doesn't have enough Soldiers in Iraq so he is considering bringing back the Draft.

2. Draft Republicans!!!!
If Dubya brings back the Draft, we'll experience another American Revolution and the Rethugs will be in the minority for at least a generation.

7. If teh draft is Dubya's idea then how can anyone blame the Democrats?
Does give an idea of how long he thinks his war is going to last.

12. Yeah, Draft Republicans
I agree with Larkspur, if Bush wants to draft, then lets draft Republicans! They're always bitching about how the war is worth it, the let's see what happens if we draft them. :grr:

11. * will need a draft to invade Iran.
There are pros and cons.

For me it's a pro because that's a vital element missing when comparing Iraq to Vietnam. A draft will finally bring out the protests #s and perhaps get Congress to pay attention to the will of the people. Of course, * knows this, but an invasion of Iran must offer something better.

In light of Congress's FISA meltdown, * is likely to be assured they are a bunch of spineless cowards that will do nothing as he runs out the clock. * must think that a "Hail Mary" attack on Iran will rally the homeland for a GOP candidate. * might be right since the other component missing from the Vietnam era is a scrutinizing media.

If the draft is reinstated, then * is taking us to Iran.

Whether or not either happens, this administration must be impeached now.
