In all series, if Al Gore had won, his admin. would be spending all their time trying to persuade the American public that all was well. They would be spinning the truth, demonizing any opposition (or blaming them) and reporting fragmented truths while they covered up the big picture. 3. FYI

They know that those who monitor them make fun of their spelling. Therefore the words "series"(serious) and "hugh"(huge) are used as a FReeper inside joke to cover up for their spelling gaffes. That way they always get to cover their ass when they get caught on any errors, by passing it off as a joke.

I am not overly critical of spelling errors, as we all make them from time to time, and many times they can be attributed to typos. But the spelling at FReeperland is particularly atrocious from time to time, and often in ways that betray the "it's a typo" defense.

1) Because they are programmed that way by Goebbels v1.0 (in the case of the originals) or v2.0 (in the case of the "kinder and gentler"...for the moment...Imperial Amerikan variety). This is nicely described in Orwell's "1984". Ask a Brownshirt why they changed their mind about the defcit and how they could change such a deeply and long-held conviction so quickly.

2) It is necessary to protect their ego/id from the consequences of what they are, what they do, and the Coublethink that characterizes their lives (and also characterized the lives of Nazis, Commies, and other extremists of all stripes)

Think of what the Nazis told themselves as they were beating the crap out of the Jews.

That the JEWS were the oppressors.
That the JEWS were the bullies.
That the JEWS controlled all government and media with an iron fist.

Again I say, the Busheviks are NOT (yet) equivalent or even nearly equivalent in perfidy to the Nazis, there are merely a tremendous number of similiraties in their thought processes and propaganda strategies.

But you asked why the Busheviks are utterly consistent in attributing their failings to others.

I believe it is a truthful statement to reply, "Generally, for the exact same reason the Nazis did."

10. I discovered a new freeper type board the other day

well, it's new to me at least. I've managed to post some stuff there and haven't been banned yet. I think that's mostly because it's pretty slow. The mods don't even seem to be logged on most of the time.
