Britney Spears worth up to $120 million to U.S. economy (we are SICK)
http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/ent/stories/DN-peolede_0129gl.State.Edition1.10d5726.html

Portfolio magazine reports that through her mere existence, operatically troubled and exhaustively chronicled as it is, Britney Spears contributes $110 million to $120 million to the U.S. economy – and much more than that when she's on tour.

Thousands of Americans make part of their living off Brit. The paparazzi clear $4 million a year off her pictures, while record companies, promoters and licensers make $30 million to $40 million a year from Britney-oriented products.

Ex-husband Kevin Federline earns a cool million off her name. Nightclubs pay him just to show up.

The biggest slice goes to newspapers, glossy mags and other media, which rake in $75 million. Tabloids sell up to 33 percent more copies when she's on the cover.

4. I sincerely doubt she's got any touring days left in her
unless she manages to get her life together. She's doing a typical kid star flameout and most of them don't survive those well enough to remain performers. In fact, a great deal of them end up dead.

Let's hope somewhere in her life she had enough good financial life that she'll be able to afford the help she needs.

6. I read she saves NOTHING
Kind of sad that she could be set for life, but will probably end working security with Gary Coleman some day.

5. I think we've just solved the problem of the shaky economy
If we just find a Britney double, take the real Brit on a forced mental health "retreat", then do a 50 city tour...

"Hey guys, Ol' Uncle Sam's about to lose the country!"

"But, we're just a bunch'a kids, what can we do?"

"I know, lets put on a SHOW!!!!"
