Jim Rogers on CNBC: Abolish the Fed; No bailouts for Maserati diving Investment Bankers.

I thought I would post this video clip here in the economy forum since I enjoyed it so much. It's from a week or so ago, on the day the DOW was up 400 points and the CNBC cheerleaders were gloating like crazy.

Jim Rogers (founder of the Quantum Fund, with George Soros) doesn't pull his punches with the CNBC crew. There are at least a dozen gems in the interview. He really cuts right to the heart of the matter.

He says he's putting his money into agriculture and Asian currencies. Also says the government is lying about our inflation data and every other large Central Bank is doing a better job of addressing inflation than ours is.

this is nothing new

and he's been right.

he has been one of the biggest influences on my trading and investment approach.

he is a very smart guy and one of the best contrarian investors around.

his book "investment biker" is great

5. Now He's Gone And Done It!!
The NERVE he has, getting on CNBC and spouting all that negative energy. All that garbage about how bad things are. STONE HIM I Say!!

WE CAN'T HAVE ANYMORE OF THIS TRUTH TELLING ON DAILY TELEVISION!!

Looks like they have to add him to the list which includes Peter Schiff and Nourel Roubini, as analysts who are no longer welcome on CNBC.

It's so much simpler when they only put POSITIVE SPIN analysts on. Their standard garden variety of "Market Mavens."

No more of this world coming to an end Bullshit. Let's stay with the program, and show some OPTIMISM, even in the sign of utter collapse of our economic foundations.

2. "Socialism for the rich"
Best line of the whole thing.

Not sure if abolishing the fed will solve the problems, but the guy is certainly compelling.
