In 1978 Dr. Ravi Batra was one of a very few people who predicted the fall of the Soviet Union before the year 2000, the Iranian revolution and theocratic rule, and the stock market crash of 1987. Despite some faulty predictions in the interim, in his recent book The New Golden Age he predicted inflation would rise, gold would shoot up, oil prices would continue rising despite the slowing economy, and the flood of foreclosures. He's now predicting the collapse of the dollar by the end of next year.

As a professor of economics at Southern Methodist University, Dallas, he has spent more than 30 years analyzing cyclical political, social and economic trends. In his latest book "The New Golden Age" he predicts that public disgust with official corruption will overthrow the current United States Business Empire. He also looks at how subsequent reforms could usher in an unprecedented worldwide economic golden age where poverty is eliminated.

Join us for a conversation with Dr. Ravi Batra about the roots of the current economic crisis and how we can influence a political restructuring for a new age of prosperity.
