If you pay premium for Long Term Care
and you itemize your deductions and your medical expenses are more than 7.5% of your gross income, the IRS increased the amounts that can be claimed:

Younger than 40: $310

41 to 50: 580

51 to 60: 1,150

61 to 70: 3080

Over 70: 3850

And this is for each person.

Funny thing about mileage: medical related trip from Jan. 1 to June 30: 19 cents. For the second half of the year: 27 cents. Funny, because I think it was in the fall when gasoline prices went down. Way down.
