Obama wants U.S. to be world's top exporter of renewable energy

THIS is part of what the Republicans can't get. We must invest NOW for growth in the future. The stimulus plan provides both expenditures to create work now, and investment in future growth in technologies of the future.

Not all the Republican's program to undermine the rebuilding of the economy is based on a political calculation. Much of their opposition is just based in genuine stupidity. That's how they created the greatest economic disaster since the great depression - astounding stupidity about how the economy really works (best).

It's true in business, and it's true for our country.

Out of anything that Obama's done as President, I'd say its his steadfast commitment to thriving that's been his most admirable quality. He has continually made it a point to make sure we're looking ahead, whether its energy or education, and not just bracing for dear life, which would be entirely understandable given the circumstances.
