They take our bailout money...
...and then lobby the Senate so we get hosed.

All the Repubs voted against it and all the conservative Dems did too.
Conservatives are scum no matter which party they are in.

Democratic Senator Dick Durbin fought valiantly for this.

OBTW: If you own many properties then this luxury is already afforded you.

Mortgage reduction bill fails in Senate
Banks lobbied heavily against the measure to help homeowners facing foreclosure.

By Janet Hook
May 1, 2009
Reporting from Washington -- The financial services industry is in trouble over its role in crashing the world economy, but that doesn't mean its lobbyists have lost all their muscle on Capitol Hill.

Exhibit A: The Senate delivered a stinging rebuff to President Obama and consumer advocates Thursday by rejecting a measure to help homeowners facing foreclosure.

~snip~

"I am sick and tired of being asked to give billions to these banks," said Senate Democratic Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), who threatened to oppose any further industry bailouts. "If they have no sympathy for homeowners facing foreclosure, I don't have any sympathy for them."

1. The White House has the MUSCLE to bring these guys into line.
Obama can use the Bully Pulpit.
The DNC can get tough with Primary financing and campaign funding.
Rahm, The Enforcer, can twist arms.

Why are these traitors (ConservoDems) being given a free pass to sabotage these important bills?

It was wrong when W did it, and it'd be wrong if Obama did it.

Edited because I cannot type one single sentence without typos.....

4. I don't see that they are differing all that much from Pres. Obama's own actions.

I mean, excuse me, but isn't he the one who appointed Geithner?

And Summers?

And Rubin?

If we working class people are hoping to see some jobs here in this nation, if we are hoping to see a viable economy, then don't we have to be asking ourselves how an honorable person could appoint these guys?

The assistance for mortgatge holders that are in trouble is only a band aid. We need some measures that will bring about a real working economy.
