Just in case you're feeling a "little wealthy".
Even if you owe zero to anyone, here's what you and I still owe.

$36,741.70 is our current share of the national debt, mostly thanks to the asshole Bush.

1. Ah, but are we the constituents? Or the lobbyists that get their way?
If the lobbyists are calling the shots, what's their responsibility in all of this?

I'd say Reagan, Bush I, and Bush II are the ones behind the national debt. Clinton balanced the budget and started getting things turned around before II got elected... though, quite arguably, II was far worse at mangling up everything...

3. I was listening to C-SPAN this morning and there was something going
on with kids taking a test dealing with the government. Sounded like some kind of standardized test.

Anyway, one of the people said there is always a question on the test dealing with the "federal" reserve.

I walked away thinking maybe there is a question on the test as part of an indoctrination since there is nothing Federal about the reserve.

5. Well, thanks for harshing my mellow.
Let me start working on that bit.

Damn. The more you get ahead, the sooner someone throws a monkey wrench in your plans, and then you fall behind!
