Than I did with all my years of education and working experience as a CAD drafter and designer.

1. I've made more sitting on my arse over the last 4 years
than I did in all my years as a critical care nurse.

Something is very wrong with this country.

2. That is a surprise as nurses salaries are very good in my area
I took some college but mostly certificate, continuing education type courses. Not the many years of hard work and money required for a nursing degree. The average pay for someone with my skills and experience ten years ago was $20 - $25 an based on which career field you were in. Now it's around $15 an hour for everyone.

I always thought the doctors and nurses haven't had much to worry about as much as the support staff. Lots of people who run tests, billing, medical assistants, etc. are getting laid off in my city and the career schools just keep pumping out dozens a week into a job market that doesn't need them.

On the plus side, I'm making money even in my sleep. Woke up an hour ago to $120 in sales last night which equates to about $80 - $85 net.

3. My income was held down due to extremely poor health
and the fact that I was only working 3/4 time, unable to work on staff and working as per diem. That doesn't mean I didn't work as hard as everybody else did. It just meant I couldn't work all the overtime that brought those wages up.
