Vestas wins 197 MW turbine order in China

COPENHAGEN, Jan 4 (Reuters) - Denmark's Vestas, the world's biggest maker of wind turbines, said on Friday it won a 197.2 megawatts turbine order for a project in China.

The order is for 232 units of its V52-850 kilowatt turbine to be installed by China Guangdong Nuclear Wind Power Co. Ltd.

Delivery will begin in mid-2008. The company did not disclose financial details.
