Between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2007, the program saw applications for 208.6 megawatts of new solar. In total, the program received 7,541 applications worth $558 million in incentives. That total excludes applications that were withdrawn or rejected. The CSI statewide budget is $3.3 billion over 10 years.

The 829 nonresidential applications, from businesses, nonprofits and government organizations, make up 176.8 megawatts in active applications, although they make up only 11 percent of the total number of applications. California residents made 6,712 applications for solar power during the year but all of those applications comprise 15 percent of the total megwatts in active applications.
