2. It does have that teetering-on-the-brink, pre-apocalyptic feeling, doesn't it?
With all these price signals, there's got to be a substitute for oil just around the corner.
Maybe even a substitute for money, if it gets too expensive?

Seems to me that oil hass been fairly stable to the Euro.

So the question is;
Is oil getting more expensive or is the dollar becoming worth less?

So, it is getting more expensive, but as you point out, the effect in dollars is enhanced by dollar devaluation from other factors.
