There's a Lying Monkey on the teevee right now talking about ANWR
Edited on Tue Apr-29-08 10:06 AM by jpak
The Lying Monkey sez that environmentally safe oil production from ANWR would reduce gas prices.

Question for the Lying Monkey - if oil on the global market is selling at $120 a barrel, what would be the price of oil produced from ANWR????

1. And blaming congress for everything.
Edited on Tue Apr-29-08 09:38 AM by PelosiFan
The entire thing so far has been "Congress blocked it. Congress could have passed it. Congress isn't doing anything. Congress doesn't like me... waah waah waah."

9. There is a reason for the anti-congress rhetoric.
One is that nothing is ever Bush's fault, because he's a sociopathic man-child.

But the other, much more important reason, is that the GOP is positioning themselves for November. The anti-congress rhetoric defuses the very dangerous meme that "it's the GOP's fault."

Anybody out there who has argued with a conservative will probably have seen this in action. If you start scoring real points, they punt. "Well, congress is useless." The implication (explicit or implicit) is that it's both the dems and the republicans who are worthless. That basically gives them all the rationalization they need to pull the lever for their habitual GOP candidate in the fall.

11. It's painfully obvious that someone has coached him to keep blaming Congress
I've never heard him say "congress" so many times in one appearance as he has today.

I'm just a little bit depressed that this tactic will probably work on most conservatives.
