1. Yes, here in Tucson the high was 70. I think on Wednesday we were over 100
Maybe Tuesday.

Back in my hometown in MT, I've seen it snow in the morning, have sunshine and a warm chinook wind by noon, then by the afternoon have a road closing storm. Glad I don't have to deal with that nowadays!

5. Yeah, here in LA we had record-breaking heat for nearly a week
(over 100 for several days) and now it's only in the 60s.......mind you, I'M NOT COMPLAINING.

7. Barely struggled into the 60s here in the NM high desert
with off and on pea sized hail--no thunder or lightning, just hail.

It's been a weird day and the soaking has knocked me offline for much of it.

I'm ready to go back into overheated drought now.

8. My brother from Michigan
joined me for a long weekend in Texas a couple of weeks ago. Poor guy brought a heat wave with him, but withstood the near-100 temps pretty well. We were planning on doing some biking, however, which got nixed in favor of drinking and talking environmental politics. He feels that Michgan will rise from the dead pretty soon because it's got water. I think he's right.

9. N. Calif had the same weather, including rain!
Yikes, my hay is cut and not baled. My white soft wheat is just ripening, so...I hope it is not ruined....But wow, it is cold right now- 45 f is the expected low and last week the high here was 107 f. Plus we have had three days of very high winds.
