Radiohead Offers Free Front-Row Seats To Parisians Willing To Bike To The Box Office - 15 Show Up
Would you ride your bike to a nearby box office in order to score a free, front-row ticket to a Radiohead concert?

You would think the question is rhetorical, but not so in France. The mega-alternative band recently offered up 50 free tickets to a show at Paris’s 17,000-capacity Bercy Arena. The one catch: interested concert-goers had to bike to the office of the band's record label -- located in the city -- to pick the tickets up in person.

You can probably guess where this is going. A grand total of 15 Parisians felt motivated enough to ditch their Renault/Peugeot/Citroen for an hour and peddle their way to the box office. That left an embarrassing 35 empty seats in the front row of the concert. Do we need to remind you that this is the same country that hosts the world's most only famous bicycle event?

The UK Sun put it as only the British Press can in mocking their French neighbors and the 35 orphaned tickets: "That's the branch of one tree wasted."

2. Oh honestly, this is just french bashing by a UK entertainment column
It's a made-up non story.

Paris is a city where the vast majority of people use public transportation, and bicycles are everywhere in use. If anyone even heard the call for free tickets, with it's admonishment based criteria, they undoubtedly shrugged and made the international :wanking: sign.

4. Don't trust everything you hear from the UK Sun.

That offer was for members of the press, not the fans. Not front row seats either, off to the right side, 30 yards from the stage.
