Advice Needed: Coral Friendly Sun Protection

My husband and I are going on a Caribbean cruise next month and will probably go snorkeling. I have heard that sunscreen is bad for coral reefs.

I am fair skinned and burn easily so going without is not really a good option. I don't go in the ocean that often, so buying some sort of wet suit isn't really practical.

Is there a sunscreen or reasonable substitute that would protect my skin without endangering coral?

1. A wetsuit with hood will do the trick....

I was going to suggest something in a "Republi-Block SP-2010". The SP-2012 will be coming out two years later.
