President Obama's Birthday: A Time to Celebrate Renewable Energy?
Today marks Barack Obama's 49th birthday. As one of the youngest presidents the United States has ever elected, he assumed his position as the world's most influential figure with big plans for change, and a slogan of "yes we can" to rally the masses behind his vision.

One of President Obama's largest priorities has always been to shift America's energy industry away from dependence on foreign oil supplies and toward developing renewable and sustainable energy sources that can be produced domestically.

This day of celebration offers a great opportunity to look at how President Obama has fared over the last year on one of his largest political platforms: development of clean, renewable energy.
