recharge their EV's that is. :-) So cool from the time it takes, to the charging station, to the connector. From this it is plain to me that the oil and auto companies simply don't want us to have EV's.

1. did he say ten minutes? and over time they could improve it even more.
but imagine being a convenience store/gas station with someone there for ten minutes waiting for their car to charge. they come in and get a snack or walk around and buy things.

2. Ten minutes isn't a long time if you're not just watching the clock the whole time

3. He said 10 minutes but that's not what it says on the charging station
At 1:19 as he's pulling the nozzle out, it says 80% charge in 30 minutes. I would have liked to have seen a final screen shot to see how much time actually elapsed, not his estimate (it was 18:23 when he started and said 29 minutes remaining). One question I do have, being from Canada, how do you heat an electric car in the winter? Does it suck a lot of juice out of the battery, limiting your range or are they using another heating method?

4. that's a good question. temperature would probably affect length of charge
and stuff like that. i know that using vegetable oil can be somewhat difficult in cold weather as my husband puts it in the tractor and when it's cold it gels up. but that doesn't address the electric in cold weather thing.

5. Most electrics I've read about
heat and cool the seats whichever the case may be, not the whole inside of the vehicle. So with a process like that I would think not much energy is needed. I know that back in my bass fishing days in the dead of winter I'd take a couple hand warmers, the old kind that used coleman fuel, and wrap them in a couple socks and place them over my kidneys and fish all day without getting cold hands or feet.
