Flooded residents in Australia are being told to stay out of the water due to concerns of attacks by snakes and crocodiles.

Authorities warned residents of the coastal city of Rockhampton in Queensland after reports of saltwater crocodiles in the Fitzroy River and unusually high numbers of snakes.

just about every critter Down Under but kangaroos are fatally poisonous. Poisonous snakes and spiders floating around has got to be freaky.

5. This happened in the areas around New Orleans after Katrina...

there was a photo that appeared in Der Spiegel or another German news periodical that I tried to find... it was a large alligator in a church. Not too unusual, I guess, but adding more misery to an already unbelievably mniserable situation. I hope they can all get access to appropriate snake antivenom if needed.
