8. All I can say is that I saw it on NHK and posted it within a few minutes of seeing it.
I haven't seen it since that news conference right after the explosion, but I didn't think anything of it in light of the sheer volume of bad news out there.

I'm sure it was on NHK though.

9. Time zones
I think part of the problem with getting recent news is the huge time difference. I think they're 11 hours ahead of us, so they're sleeping while we're awake, looking for updates, and vice versa.
