911 is ineffective in many "happening now" situations
Edited on Mon Jan-14-08 01:16 PM by virginia mountainman
he harsh reality is, the police, is not their protect us as individuals, the supreme court has ruled on this, it is up to us to defend ourselves.

Ryan Bergner has slashed her tires, kicked down her door, accosted her at her job, broken into her home and stolen from her...

SIX, police complaints had been filed against him, with ZERO EFFECT.

Calling 911 did not stop him.....3 bullets did..

In Washington DC, or Chicago....She most likely would have ended up strangled to death.

Just listen to the 911 audio on that page...it is chilling, just how INEFFECTIVE 911 is many situations.

(Woman)....He is at the back door!...........(911) We are on the way.

(Woman)...He is downstairs!...........(911) We are on the way, it's ONLY been two minutes

(Woman)...He is at the bedroom door!........(911) We are on the way, Don't do anything rash

(Woman) He is breaking down the bed room door !!.. (911) We are on the way....

The message is clear, the police MAY, or may NOT, be able to get to you if you call 911. We need to take precautions, to make certain that we are still alive when the police get to us.

Edit, direct link to audio of 911 call

2. Yea! And you did yours the hard way: with substantive postings!
I wonder what the 911 operator considered "rash?"

3. Nerve racking to listen to that call
The "two minutes" was actually just past four minutes, but I can understand the operator trying to keep the caller calm.

Just past 6 minutes when the officer's voice is heard.

Took them over 2 months to no-bill her?
