firearm who serve their sentence for illegal firearm possession concurrently with other sentences rather than sequentially with other sentences?

IMO career criminals will probably be convicted for illegal firearm possession plus other charges.

If sentences for illegal firearm possession are served concurrently with other sentences, then the sentence for illegal firearm possession is an ineffective punishment.

1. I don't know but suspect there are a lot since our "for profit"
prisions are full. We have more prisoners than China. Most for slave labor and to prevent felons from voting (which is unconstitutional once they serve their time).

If you are rich or Republican you don't go to jail for possession of a fire arm. You are just protecting yourself.

2. Perhaps the anti-RKBA and pro-RKBA sides in the Dem Party can join forces and demand sentences for
illegal possession of a firearm be served after all other sentences have been completed.

3. IIRC in many states and cities...
...committing a crime with a firearm adds several years to the sentence.

What I would be interested in seeing is the average time criminals who commit crimes with guns are sentenced to versus the average time they serve.

Hmmm... I must go Use The Google

4. Does it add years to the sentence or is the sentence for illegal possession served concurrently?
If the sentence for illegal firearm possession is served concurrently with that of other crimes, them it's practical punishment value seems to be zero.

Am I correct with that assertion?
