Bought a TEC-DC9 yesterday
Edited on Fri Mar-21-08 08:39 AM by Turbo Teg
I have always wanted one of these since I was a little kid. I used to have a blue one that made noise when you pulled the tringger that my aunt bought me when I was like 9. I know they shoot like shit, at least from what I've heard if you don't use the right ammo, and they are inherantly inaccurate, but I don't care, it's not what I want it for. I just like having it since it is one of the most hated guns by anti gun groups, and was banned by name in '94, and it's just mean looking. Plus, the company is out of buisness so there won't be anymore Tec-9s. Anyhow, my shop got it from some lady who litterally had shopping carts full of her husbands guns who just passed away and was selling them to us. This little gem never made it to the sales floor. I have been looking for one for a while now, but didn't want to pay what they are asking for these days. I had almost bought a KG-99 two years ago (one of the real early TEC-9s) at a killer price, but it got bought out from under me. When this came in it was litterally FILTHY, caked with dust, and other crap, but I think it was from sitting in a case for 15 years, because after I cleaned this thing up, it looks like it's never been shot before. There's no feed marks on the ramp, and all the paint is still on the bolt, and the finish is perfect. I still have to run a patch down the barrel to see if there's any carbon in there, if not I may not shoot it. If I had to though, I'm sure I could effectivley use it for self defense. Also, better yet, it came in the original box, with all the original paperwork and the barrel extentsion. The paperwork inside puts this gun in production around mid 1993. Anyhow, I finaly got one.

5. I recently bought an AB10 parts kit (same as a Tec-9), I intend
to use the mechanism to make a MP5 lookalike.

6. Jealous
I wanted to buy one of those in the early nineties, but the guy at the shop talked me out of it. I kick myself in the ass every time I think about it...
