Here is direct quote from the 911 dispatch centers tapes..

Sheila: "Nobody's coming out here?"
911: "Yes, ma'am. As soon as the sergeant gets an officer available, he's gonna send somebody out there."
Sheila: "What, do y'all want him to kill me so you can put yellow tape around me and say we got there just for the death? Is that it? I don't understand."
Sheila: "I'm scared to even leave out my f***ing house."
911: "OK, ma'am, I updated the call. We'll get somebody there as soon as possible."
Sheila hangs up.
911: "I really just don't give a s**t what happens to you."

Ahh Nice....When the person your counting on to protect you, tells you that they really, just don't give a s**t about you....

The 911 system should be considered part of the infrastructure in the US and it along with Police Departments and Fire Deapartments have been underfunded and starved by the Republicans for the last 12 years.

The 911 system needs to clean house and hire recently retired folks and our military personel that are coming back.

The 911 workers that are doing this shit should be fired immedietly, it should also be made clear that if they are caught doing this kind of shit they will be prosecuted.

ADDED: FWIW; the operator was fired, but not for this incident-he was a new trainee and flunked his final exam.They would have hired him anyway, evidently.

I was also silent on the tale of the drunk who mistook his son for a turkey.

Drunks should not go hunting. Can't think of much more to say. If you want me to come up with some proposals that might reduce the incidence of drunks killing their children while hunting, I might be able to think of some.

Nasty stupid people should not be employed to take 911 calls. Can't think of much more to say. I could try to come up with some proposals for avoiding this situation too, if you insisted.
