Idaho tells off the feds
http://www.legislature.idaho.gov/legislation/2009/HJM003.pdf

We, your Memorialists, the House of Representatives and the Senate of the State of Idaho
7 assembled in the First Regular Session of the Sixtieth Idaho Legislature, do hereby respectfully
8 represent that:
9 WHEREAS, the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution does not simply
10 provide for a collective right or a right for the states to establish militias; rather it provides for
11 the right of the people to keep and bear arms; and
12 WHEREAS, the primary purpose of the right to keep and bear arms is to protect one’s
13 self, family and possessions from either the private lawlessness of other persons or the tyranny

2. Ohio...
9.68 Right to bear arms - challenge to law.

(A) The individual right to keep and bear arms, being a fundamental individual right that predates the United States Constitution and Ohio Constitution, and being a constitutionally protected right in every part of Ohio, the general assembly finds the need to provide uniform laws throughout the state regulating the ownership, possession, purchase, other acquisition, transport, storage, carrying, sale, or other transfer of firearms, their components, and their ammunition. Except as specifically provided by the United States Constitution, Ohio Constitution, state law, or federal law, a person, without further license, permission, restriction, delay, or process, may own, possess, purchase, sell, transfer, transport, store, or keep any firearm, part of a firearm, its components, and its ammunition.

You can't have more than a thirty round magazine. Concealed weapons are regulated. We have a "Castle Doctrine". Overall I'd give our State a good mark on balancing individual rights and public safety. Oh, and our Governor, a Democrat, is a pretty good shot.

3. out-of-state vehicle carry into Ohio - legal?
I was under the impression that someone from another state is prohibited from having a firearm in their vehicle if travelling into Ohio, can you clarify?
