1. Its not the NRA that votes our legislators (i.e., our voice) into office.

Its the people of both parties. If he has a gripe it is with the people who disagree with him. The same people who realize that violent crime is at very low rates, that the previous AWB did little or nothing to prevent mass shootings (see Columbine), and that his type of fear mongering is disingenuous at best.

It's not the NRA. It's the millions of gun owners, like many in this very forum, who make it a point to write letters, visit our legislators, and vote.

That is where the true power is.

And from my chair, it appears for the most part, on this issue they listen to us!

6. Many do get it which is why we are seeing so much hate and bigotry against gun owners.
If gun owners were not armed the anti gun people would resorted to violence already.
