Woman Killed In Accidental Shooting, Say Police

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Metro police said a woman was accidentally shot and killed by a friend in West Nashville on Wednesday night.

Police said the woman and two men were at a home on River Road Pike when one of the men picked up a gun that had been under a pillow.

Somehow the gun went off and shot the woman in the back, according to police. Officers said that by the time paramedics arrived, she was already dead.
