Carter’s Country employees say they complied with the request, adding that at least 6 of the 16 times they called during a suspicious sale, ATF agents never showed, but told Carter’s Country to make the sale anyway.

And what of the murder of special agent Zapata, who was shot and killed in Mexico in February 2011? That gun was traced back to gun dealers near Dallas.

How many more Brian Terrys and Jamie Zapatas do there have to be before someone who facilitated this goes to jail or at least loses there job? When is the truth of these operations finally going to be revealed? We are told there is no money to help those who are losing their jobs but we sure as hell got $10 million in stimulus money along with $416.5 million, in the last year alone to propagate this bullshit.

And then the owner says "We tried to stop the sale, but you told us to go ahead with it."

I bet the owner was keeping evidence, or they would have just railroaded him anyway.

...The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), the ATF, the FBI, and
the CIA are all trying to prove that they are the best at
apprehending criminals. The President decides to give them a test.
He releases a rabbit into a forest and each of them has to catch
it.

The CIA goes in. They place animal informants throughout the forest.
They question all plant and mineral witnesses. After three months of

The ATF goes in. Their armoured battering ram gets stuck in the mud,

apologies. The rabbit had it coming.

The LAPD goes in. They come out two hours later with a badly beaten
bear. The bear is yelling: "Okay! Okay! I'm a rabbit! I'm a rabbit!"

Personal note: I'm surprised to see the Texas Observer take up this issue; so many pro-gun-control in the media WILL NOT deal with these BATF operations.

20. I dunno. I wonder if Holder sent a condolence letter

to Zapata's family with an explanation on the gun being allowed to walk. Somehow I doubt it. But the gun haters who frequent this site don't seem to have the same vitriol when the government allows the firepower to get into the wrong hands versus when an armed citizen protects him/herself, their home, or family.

It also looks as though the gungeon with the advent of DU3 is going to be a different animal. According to my reading of the rules, post such as the OP are no longer going to be allowed. Something that does not reflect favorable to the Democratic Party will simply be "judged" as not acceptable.

We'll see I guess.
