New state dance: The Ohio Shuffle
Anti-CCW forces in Ohio can claim a minor victory. Ohio's CCW has taken effect and now those who want to go through the process of getting licensed to carry must learn this new dance. Why must they learn The Ohio Shuffle? Because while concealed carry is now legal while walking around in Ohio the gun must be "on your person, in plain sight " while carried in the car.

1. Gosh, you'd think the Rooskies had landed on our very shores
Next, we'll be required to store our bazookas in plain sight too. Is there no end to this madness?

3. Speakes volumes about the anti-gun nut community.
Repeatedly, they lose battles to a movement composed of people "Too stupid to learn the basics of the law they got passed"....and that from anti's own mouth. Makes one wonder about the IQ of the anti-gunners....I take that back, no one wonders about their IQ, the anti's display it everytime they attempt to communicate.

5. and we have tax cuts for the wealthy passed largely by votes of the poor
Edited on Sun Apr-11-04 12:13 PM by enki23
stupid, ignorant, and/or well-indoctrinated people in large numbers can accomplish a great deal. we've ample historic evidence of that. truly, you don't want to go the "IQ contest" direction.

i'm opposed to concealed carry laws. on that basis you'd call me "anti-gun." you'd do that despite my owning several "guns." see, i'm not "anti-gun." i'm anti-concealed carry, and i'm pro gun registration. i'm also in favor of reasonable child safety measures. i'm in favor of reasonable restrictions on high capacity magazines in conjunction with semi-automatic rifles. i think we could regulate that by banning the high capacity magazines, rather than the rifles. etc, etc, etc.

and the odds that you're smarter than me are very slim.

6. Just because someone is a gun owner
doesn't mean they aren't a gun grabber or anti-gun.

7. Yes, I would call you anti-gun...
because anti-gun relates to more than just guns. Much like the first post referred to the gun nut community, NOT the concealed carry nut community...you didn't seem to pick-up on that, so I guess odds are I am smarter than you.

9. ego is, actually, beside the point
Edited on Wed Apr-14-04 09:56 AM by enki23
my ego flies all over the map, and is completely irrelevent to the discussion. and to you. i was responding to a "IQ of anti-gunners" slur, if you'd care to notice. maybe i give you too much credit, assuming you can figure out the point of my post, but i'll give it to you anyway. i'm sarcastic like that when i'm annoyed.

as for "anti-gun"... that's like calling someone pro-abortion "anti-life." it's a particularly annoying example of intellectual laziness. a simplistic slur. and fucking horseshit.

none of that would stop one like you from labelling me "anti-gun" anyway of course, and you've every right to label me whatever you like. some people are fond of horseshit. that's just how the world works.

4. So, is pulling the cover garment over the top of the
gun if in IWB, is that sufficient? Or does the complete weapon/holster have to be visible?
