there is a difference in kidnappings when its israeli civilians vs army personal....perhaps it would be appropriate to read up on the history or ask before typing?

if its not ignorence or "lack of knowledge"...perhaps you can enlighten me as how one should describe a comment that has little basis in facts or history?

3. Hmmm.

If Israel intervenes, then it is possible the Israeli Arab will be seen as a 'collaborator' with the "Zionist Empire" and executed. Furthermore, why should the Israeli government intervene at this point? It appears this is a "family" issue. While governments have been known to get involved when their citizens are kidnapped abroad, there are occasions, when it is not political, that they will not get involved. This is the responsibility of the PA. They (the PA police) should be investigating why this man was taken. Since no word has been released, one can assume this is not "political." It could be, but generally, given the recent spate of kidnappings, the kidnappers are usually pretty quick to make it known who they are and what their demands are. This does not seem to be the case here. It is also not to say that it is possible that Shin Bet is looking into this, as that would be the more appropriate body to be involved.

Hopefully, like the others recently kidnapped, he will be released unharmed.

7. there is also the fact that

the Israeli Arab was kidnapped in Gaza four days ago. since Gaza is supposed to be under the control of the PA, arent they the ones who should be helping get this person back? Why was this person in hostile territory? if he was kidnapped on israeli soil then i think israel would be responding.

of course if it was an israeli jew that was kidnapped in gaza, there would be an outcry of why was that person there.
