Israel Demands Withdrawal of Food Report (UN on Policy of Starvation)
Israel on Thursday demanded the withdrawal of a United Nations report on the food situation in the Palestinian territories, claiming the author is politically biased.

Yaakov Levy, Israel's ambassador in Geneva, wrote to the chairwoman of the U.N. Human Rights Commission demanding that Jean Ziegler's report be "deemed unfit for presentation" to the commission when it meets in the spring.

1. Bald faced cover-up....
What is going on these days under the Occupation is truly horrendous.

Both Sharon and Bush should be held accountable for crimes against humanity in the International Court.

their position will be supported by the U.N. hating Bush cabal.

What, they don't want the world to find out they're starving Palestinian children? They seems to be acting very much like South Africa used to act under apartheid. Hopefuly, their government will come to the same end as South Africa's did. Where's the Palestinian Mandela? The world is waiting for him...., and for the removal of the Bush/Sharon regimes.

And Sharon and his thugs are disrespecting his memory every day as they perpetrate their crimes against humaity.

Besides, nations like S. Africa and the US should feel LUCKY that they has their Mandelas and ML Kings....most of the time, oppression and murder is met with violence from the victims.

Its just a sad truth.

Shimon Peres is alive and well today. He has just celebrated his 80th birthday, which you would know it you'd read the web page you posted.

9. Maybe if Arafat would spend some of the billions he's hoarding
the Palestinian children wouldn't be starving. So far, the Palestinians don't seem capable of producing a Mandela; either they get monstrously corrupt officials, or the fanatics would kill anyone who would try to bring peace, calling them collaborators. So why is it assumed to be Israel who is starving children; why not put the blame where it belongs. Or would thay ruin your rosy view of Palestinians?

10. The Policy of Starvation has the support of both Repub and Dem parties

No need to go so far out there to try to defend starving children.

Imperialism means you don't have to defend jackshit.

Just stand tall, look yourself in the mirror, and say it loud and proud - "I'm working harder today to starve more Muslim children" - oh and those 22% of Jewish children who don't get enough to eat so Sharon can pay the soldiers to block the food trucks - Little Israeli heroes, they are - will the ones who don't make it get a plaque commemorating their sacrifice?

How proud their parents must be that their children can be little Martyrs for Sharon and his gunmen!

Oh, that's right, the bombers already have many plaques extolling their sacrifice. How proud their parents must be that their children can be little Martyrs for Arafat and his gunmen!

12. That's the best defense of Israeli policy I've ever seen! Use it more!
Islamic Jihad is the ultimate and sole determinant of Israeli ethics

I bet you could silence a lot more critics of Israeli government policy if you could just get the word out that Israeli moral standards are set by Arafat and Islamic Jihad.

Too many people in their ignorance, don't realize that Israel is but a mere puppet, with no ability or choice in the matter - forced to dance to the tune of a gang of emotionally disturbed teenagers and a reprobate old freedom fighter who needs help to pipi.

On the same day the BBC is calling them "assasinations", the Israeli media is calling them "liquidations".

6. The word for today is Warsaw.

"Your statements completely distort historical facts and context. The Nazis' world-view claimed that the Jews were the source of all evil and called for a radical solution to the so-called 'Jewish problem'.

"In the case of Israel and Palestine, it is a matter of conflicting claims over territorial sovereignty that has deteriorated into a longstanding conflict. Neither side aims to annihilate the other."

The final statement may come as a surprise to many Palestinians and Israelis.

14. This UN "expert" is very good at omitting all the facts
Not once did this UN "expert" mention that the reason movement and distribution of goods is because there are too many "martyrs" running around with full intent of blowing up Israeli kids with their belt bombs.

I guess this UN "expert" didn't want to allow Israel a defense. Maybe the UN should send some "experts" to intermingle with some of the Palestinians that make it their mission to blow up Israeli kids. Maybe then they could stop the bombers before they murder anymore Israeli kids.

15. Israel does not need a defense for starving Muslim children

They have the full support of the US government and the US taxpayer.

Plus, they are making an important contribution to helping people understand that starvation is a politically useful tool, and is obviously something that only happens to poor people, who frankly, contribute very little to either the business economy or political campaigns.

20. Starving Muslim children
Is very popular in terror circles because it creates more terrorists. This is one of many reasons why the Palestinian people get little help from their Muslim brethren.

25. Actually, it is more popular with those who profit from arms sales

Which is why feeding Muslim children has for all practical intents and purposes been declared a terrorist act by the bush regime, and is a policy supported by all the AIPAC-blessed Democratic candidates, as well as the Democratic party itself.

No, it is not a policy that is in your best interest, unless you happen to have access to a bunker, which may be the case, but there are many Americans who are not so fortunate, and many Israelis, and many Israelis and Americans who are not so well-fed themselves.

26. Starving Muslim children
If the Muslim world really care, they'd do something about it. Perhaps they should tap into their billions from oil. Or maybe just the billion that Arafat has socked away.

27. I agree it is not easy to defend deliberately witholding food from kids

And I don't think that anyone expects those who for whatever reason feel called to defend such a practice to develop cohesive, logical or compelling arguments.

Edited for funky cut and paste repost: BHN
Check out this web site:
http://www.ifamericansknew.org
"Americans have an enormous, often little known, connection to the
ongoing and dangerous tragedy that is Israel and Palestine. As lives
of the young and old are increasingly lost and devastated, due in part
to short-sighted US policies, it is inevitable that these policies will
endanger American lives as well. American citizens have the power
to end this carnage. We must be informed."

The site owner received a death threat from someone
claiming to be trained by the IDF:
http://www.ifamericansknew.org/about_us/death_threat.html
"After debating on
"How Can Peace Be Achieved Between Israelis and Palestinians?"
Thursday, October 2nd, Alison Weir and If Americans Knew
received a voicemail message saying:
"On Monday, at 2 PM, you better not be in your office.
Because me and my buddies, who were trained in the Israeli
Army, will come and kill every single one of you..."

Nice huh?
