IDF troops uncover five arms smuggling tunnels in south Gaza
Israel Defense Forces troops on Sunday uncovered five tunnels in the southern Gaza Strip used for smuggling weapons.

The tunnels were found during an IDF operation in Dahaniyeh, east of Rafah.

Troops from the Givati Brigade, Armored Corps and Engineering Corp arrested some 40 Palestinian militants suspected in terror attacks against Israel during the operation, the IDF said.

The IDF said that the troops came under fire a number of times during the operation and that forces returned the fire.

There were no injuries among the IDF troops, the army said.

Intelligence data presented at a conference of IDF commanders earlier this month showed that there has been a sharp increase in the amounts of weapons and explosives smuggled into the Strip during recent months.

2. You mean
Israeli blood, if anything there will no change or an increase of Palestinian bloodshed.

3. Smuggling weapons is good for no-one
If Hamas stopped trying to smuggle weapons into Gaza, I believe that would lead to a decrease in both Israeli and Palestinian bloodshed.

6. Why then do you not oppose giving weapons to Israel?
that are used against Palestinian civilians? as we have seen, even Palestinian farmland is not safe.

Can't we agree that the lives of the people in Sderot and the lives of farmers of Beit Ula are of equal worth?

I think if the u.s stopped such arms transfers, it would lead to a decrease in both Israeli and Palestinian bloodshed.

As it is, this arms trade bears a heavy cost.
