Hamas 'wrecking Mid-East peace'
Typical right-wing spin here ... cry about Hamas and make no mention of Israeli war crimes

US Vice-President Dick Cheney has said Palestinian militant group Hamas, along with Iran and Syria, is trying to torpedo the Middle East peace process.

Mr Cheney made the remarks after breakfast with Israeli PM Ehud Olmert, as he ended a tour of the Middle East.

He met Palestinian leaders on Sunday, saying both sides needed to make painful concessions to achieve peace.

A Palestinian state was long overdue, he said, but militant rocket attacks against Israel jeopardised this.

3. they were pretty vague..
i think they should be a little more clear about it:

the official policy of hamas is war crimes, crimes against humanity, genocide in principle...i think their official policy evidenced in their daily attempts at terrorizing civilians should be at the forefront when discussions are mentioned with them

8. My opinion is that the crimes against humanity committed by both sides should be discussed
Dick Cheney, another example of a hypocrite that supports war crimes and terrorism by one side, while denouncing war crimes by the other. If the definition of hypocrite doesn't apply here, I don't know what does.

5. Did he, have something to do with that
it's been so long now, can't quite....:sarcasm:

Cheney assured Israel that the US will never pressure Israel to do anything that might jeopardize Israel's security and Israel says everything does concerning Palestinain's is about Israel's security
well draw your own conclusions.

How do the Palestinians feel about this?

Edward Abbington, a former U.S. consul general in Jerusalem and now an adviser to Abbas, said the mood among the Palestinians in Ramallah was grim. Neither the Israelis or Palestinians are convinced that Cheney is an integral player in the peace process, he said.

"They told me when I was in Ramallah they had no idea why Cheney was even coming to see them," Abbington said. "The Israelis are more interested in what Cheney has to say about Iran and blessing their continued strikes against Gaza than anything he has to say about the peace process."

9. So?
That's my new response to every wingnut argument. I mean, why waste the extra syllables they won't understand anyway?
