Ramon: Israel holding direct talks with Hamas

Vice Premier Haim Ramon on Monday acknowledged that Israel was holding talks with Hamas, in violation of a government decision not to conduct talks with the Islamist Palestinian group until it complies with the demands of the Quartet.

Ramon, speaking at a Kadima faction meeting, criticized Israel's negotiations with the militants group and voiced hope that the cabinet would soon make a strategic decision not to accept the Hamas presence along Israel's southern border.

"The IDF knows what to do," he said. "We are not fighting a terror organization, but rather a terror nation called Hamastan."

The Hamas government supports and encourages violence and terrorism on another nation.

It isn't splinter militant groups, or the "armed wing" of Hamas that are the problems.

It is Hamas itself, with its ugly, vile, bloodthirsty goals.

Hamas is a bunch of terrorist thugs who want to kill as many Jews as humanly possible and take back Israel.

Israel has a thriving economy, culture and life, with a government that responds to terrorists, no one out to kill as many Palestinians as possible (or they would all be dead. 10,000 in 60 years is hardly what Hamas would do, given a fraction of the firepower).

saying that about the Palestinian people, just those that govern them, i.e. Hamas.

The Palestinian people are just pawns to be used by Hamas for propaganda purposes or anything else their sick minds can conjur up.

There happen to be a lot of terrorist supporters among the nation of citizens, as evidenced by their elation and cheering and passing out candies when Israelis are murdered, and their celebration and national herohood of their martyrs.

But the nation is led by terrorists, not the whole nation being terrorists.

In the run-up to the Good Friday Agreement, the British Government were negotiating with the Provisional IRA for ages before they actually admitted it.

"We won't talk to you" often means something more limited: "We won't give you official recognition and therefore won't talk to you at a public and official level".
