UN Security Council Rejects Libyan Attempt to Reach Gaza
(IsraelNN.com) The 15-member United Nations Security Council rejected a Libyan appeal on Wednesday that its ship had the right to force its way into Israel's waters without permission.

Libya, which sent a cargo ship to Gaza on Sunday, was within its rights to demand the emergency session because it is one of 10 rotating members of the Council. Although a number of nations criticized Israel for its blockade of Gaza and voiced concern over the humanitarian situation in the region, the Council did not support the Libyan claim against the Jewish State.

1. Piracy was a stupid approach
and seeing as how for the moment the crossings are open it really doesn't matter.

the charge of piracy just doesn't work in this case, Israel blocked the ships passage but did not attempt to board it or in any way commandeer it's cargo.

it's just peachy knowing that this kind of stupid shit rates for attention that could be used to resolve much bigger and badder issues in the world.

it's just "criticism", right?

6. Why post something from a racist source like Arutz Sheva?
I've seen this story from plenty of credible media sources, so why post a link to a nasty site like that here?

8. Since when has the waters off Gaza been Israel's territorial waters?
The 15-member United Nations Security Council rejected a Libyan appeal on Wednesday that its ship had the right to force its way into Israel's waters without permission.

Gaza is now Israel's waters? How does that work?

While calling it piracy is silly, so is pretending that the waters off Gaza is Israeli....

13. Now that's something I can agree with...
It really is an anachronism the way it works and sorely needs to be restructured or replaced with something that works better...
