Israel marks 1,000 days since soldier's capture
JERUSALEM (AFP) — The family of Gilad Shalit, an Israeli soldier held by Hamas militants in Gaza, on Saturday marked 1,000 days since his capture after 11th hour indirect talks failed to bring about his release.

The Shalits planned to leave a protest tent erected across the street from the prime minister's residence in Jerusalem that has drawn scores of supporters from across the country and return to their home in northern Israel.

"We'll keep the tent until tonight and then we'll go back home," said Noam Shalit, the captured soldier's father and the public face of the campaign for his release.

4. I am deeply sorry for the Shalit family and the pain they go through.
I pray that Gilad is alive, but I do not think it to be true at this point :(
