Islamic Jihad leader to Post: Attacks will continue
http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=JPost/A/JPArticle/ShowFull&cid=1057635031731

An Islamic Jihad leader in Jenin said terror attacks will resume, because he claimed Israel has not kept its side of the bargain.

"Since Israel has not kept the Hudna, Islamic Jihad and Hamas therefore cannot sit by and maintain the cease-fire, the attacks will resume," Bessam Sa'adi, Islamic Jihad leader in Jenin, told the Jerusalem Post in an exclusive telephone interview. Sa'adi has been in hiding for months, rarely sleeping in the same place two nights in a row.

Sa'adi's Jenin terror cell claimed responsibility for Monday night's suicide bombing at Moshav Kfar Yabetz, which killed Mazal Afari, 64. The bomber who died in the blast was Ahmed Yihye, 22, from a village near Jenin.

Israel's refusal to free Islamic Jihad and Hamas prisoners, said Sa'adi, is the catalyst that drove the group to resume attacks, not the IDF's continued hunt for terrorists.

yeah....lets give the terrorists a chance to show
how much they really want peace.

3. who is "they", plurality?
"they" had their chance, you say. "they" blew it, you say. But it is entirely unclear what you mean by "they". Please clarify.

4. Didn't they agree to a cease-fire?
So long for "trusting terrorists is the road to peace." They hate peace. They want all of Israel and are prepared to kill thousands of civilians for it.

6. IIRC
all agreements I have read about from either side were conditional,
and the conditions specified were never met by either side,
so I do not believe there were ever any agreements in effect
between the two sides. Hence I am of the opinion that we have war
as usual with a bit of PR mixed in here and there.

7. I never disputed that...
I have always felt that the cease-fire accomplished nothing. This is simply more evidence.

8. I don't think we are on the same page.
I don't think there was ever a ceasefire. It was all talk about
what they were going to do if the other side first met their
conditions, on both sides.

If there had been one, it might of might not have accomplished
something. It seems certain it would accomplish a few days of
peace and quiet, but otherwise maybe not much.

9. Does it matter...
whether there was a cease-fire or not? It accomplished nothing.

10. It would seem to me, logically,
that it should come into being first before it could
be said to have accomplished nothing. A small point
to be sure.

11. The point is...
Whether it came to being or not, it accomplished nothing. (Yes, nothing accomplishes nothing.) Since we came to the same conclusion, why bother with how each of us found that?

12. We have not come to the same conclusion,
but it does seem clear this discussion is futile.

13. Yes, it does matter...
As The Magistrate pointed out in another thread I just read, violating a cease-fire shows a complete lack of faith or interest in peace....
