Popular Mechanics Smack down
Have you heard Charles Goyette's Interview with the Popular Mechanics magazine editor?

Charles Goyette's Popular Mechanics 9/11 Interview causes cancellation of later interviews.

Here is the interview:
http://www.apfn.net/pogo/A003I060823-am-c3.MP3

About 17 mins in a caller asks about the hijackers that BBC listed as still alive. As the Popular Mechanics Representative tried to lie his way through the question, stated that the hijackers DNA was positively identified. LIE Charles Goyette then asks him where the government got the original DNA to match it with.
Listen to his response

Fucking Corp Whores.

"Benjamin's mother in Pelham, New York, however, was more willing to talk. Asked if Benjamin was related to the new Secretary of Homeland Security, Judy said, "Yes, of course, he is a cousin.""

If the previous poster is going to honestly reply to that?

The PM piece was a bunch of horse crap and makes me to never want to look at another PM. And I used to love that rag!

7. It's a shame
Their reputation for factual and useful information has fallen. Maybe one day they will re-cover the story with an open mind and show some critical thinking?

But, why not contact him yourself and ask?
I could inform you all day long that he isn't, but would you believe it?

13. I didn't know.....
so thought I'd ask. Seems they might be distant cousins, but as you stated, of no relevance to the op. I was simply asking a question inspired by the last five or six posts by yourself and a couple of others that directly addressed this topic. Seems the previous posts were relevant, but mine was not. Go figure. Thanks anyway.

I said brother or something. I didn't say he was for sure a brother! Why are you so disingenuos?

Ben's mother said he's a cousin. Are you going to call her a liar too? :eyes:

Which hijackers have been positively identified by DNA? Is the FBI in possession of DNA samples for all of the hijackers?

22. Of course not, silly!
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2002/08/17/attack/main519033.shtml

"Four sets of remains in Pennsylvania and five at the Pentagon were grouped together as the hijackers - but not identified by name - through a process of elimination.

Families of the airplanes' passengers and crews and those who died within the Pentagon provided DNA samples, typically on toothbrushes or hairbrushes, to aid with identification. The remains that didn't match any of the samples were ruled to be the terrorists, said Chris Kelly, spokesman for the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, which did the DNA work. The nine sets of remains matched the number of hijackers believed to be on the two planes.

Without reference samples from the hijackers' personal effects or from their immediate families to compare with the recovered DNA, the remains could not be matched to individuals."

23. Process of elimination?
I understand that if you have, for instance, 10 DNA samples and are able to match 8 existing DNA samples then you have 8 DNA matches in hand.

This means that two DNA samples are unknown. They could belong to anyone. The assumption is that they are the bad guys.

Apparently this means that from all of the recovered DNA samples there were 19 that didn't match any samples authorities had in hand (ie, from relatives, etc).
