other than a link, I added context to the thread, by letting potential readers know that DRG may have been at the EU Parliament, but he spoke to an audience almostly completely devoid of EU parliamentarians and journalists.

Your OP didn't make it clear that DRG was a spectacular failure at the EU.

Giulietto Chiesa (born on 4 September 1940 in Acqui Terme, province of Alessandria) is an Italian journalist and politician, Member of the European Parliament for North-West with the Independent - Di Pietro-Occhetto List Civil Society. Originally he represented Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe, since 2006 — Party of European Socialists. Chiesa sits on the European Parliament's Committee on International Trade.

He is a substitute for the Committee on Culture and Education and a member of the Delegation to the EU-Russia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee.
