There are several CT's going down round here. Here's a few, name your poison, vote on em, add more if you like.

1.OCT #1- not LIHOP at all, more or less what the US public still believes, ie OBL's kids, and/or Saddam got lucky, while US military, NORAD, airport security etc were FUBAR big time, but 9/11 Commish and other investigations answered all questions and we are going to keep fighting terrorism til we win.

2. OCT #2- as above but more work needed on securing homeland and answering a few little questions the investigation forgot to ask.

3. 9/11 Skeptics #1-LIHOP, but with many unintended consequences.

4. 9/11 Skeptics #2-MIHOP, more or less, but real Pentagon crash, no pod, no controlled demo of WTC, real planes, real terrorists and passengers, but Govt was involved.

5. 9/11 Skeptics #3- MIHOP, no Pentagon crash, probable pod, definite CD OF WTC, no more than 1 real plane with passengers, no OBL, Govt and media complicity at highest levels, planned for years by PNAC.

they had the intelligence which was ignored, there were the multiple hijack exercises (either they were set up to cover what was going to happen, or one of the conspirators was on the inside). They did not expect those buildings to fall, although the circumstances surrounding that are highly suspicious as well.

That there is scant evidence supporting the B*sh theory has led me to delve into the alternative theories.

Having delved, ol' Befree has come to a conclusion that sinister forces were at work on 9/11.

There is no way the military could have so utterly failed that day in it's mission of protecting America, so there had to have been some collusion leading to the failure.

The idea that the towers could have been destroyed by the smoky fire (smoky fires burn with reduced heat) demands one asks serious questions, questions no one has been able to answer, except for the theory that the towers were purposely demolished.

Considering that B*sh first tried to keep the 9/11 commission from birth then fought it every inch of the way, leads any level-headed thinking person to know that he is covering up, meaning he is guilty of something.

With all the unknowns swirling around like paper from the towers that awful day, no one should feel comfortable with any theory, especially the one from the guiltiest sounding party - B*sh.

It really is sad so many people believe any part of B*sh's story.

OBL financed it, most likely planned it. Saddam had nothing to do with it although I'm sure he got a kick out of it, at first.

US Military, NORAD weren't FUBAR, just not set up for asymmetric threat type. Despite some high level memos passed around, hijacking was still viewed as a law enforcement issue, SOP was to negotiate. No plan to shoot down. Bureaucratic inertia made it hard to adjust decision cycle. Airport security was always a joke, thinking otherwise is kidding one's self.
