Bush Admin Used Torture to Find Links Between Iraq and al Qaeda
http://www.mcclatchydc.com/227/story/66622.html

Clearly, this shows the total moral bankruptcy of the Bush Admin-- but beyond this, there is an important question.

If the Bush admin were REALLY WORRIED ABOUT AL QAEDA ATTACKING THE U.S., WHY WOULD THEY PURSUE A COMPLETELY BOGUS LINE OF INVESTIGATION?

Not to mention that anyone with brains knows that any intelligence obtained by torture is completely unreliable.

The obvious answer here is that the Bush admin WASN'T worried about al Qaeda-- because they knew al Qaeda were just patsies and 9/11 was an inside job.

1. Yes they WERE concerned about al Qaeda
That's the very reason why they tortured those poor souls. The bush administration was worried that some of the Patsies might decide to tell the truth which would reveal that 9/11 was an inside job, so they decided to solve that little potential embarrassment by
nearly killing a bunch of people and torturing the rest of 'em.

Trying to manufacture evidence to support a case for invading Iraq doesn't preclude trying to make sure Al Qaeda doesn't attack the U.S.

5. where did you ever get the idea that Bush et al really cared about al Qaeda?
It stands to reason that if they were TRULY worried about al Qaeda then they wouldn't waste so much important effort on the whole Iraq misadventure.

And if al Qaeda attacks were so easy to stop, they should have stopped 9/11.

3. Why didn't they just plant the links when they set up one of your inside job scenario?
Hmmmm?

6. that was what the anthrax attacks were about
and it's not like the Bush admin directly set up 9/11-- that was the deep operatives of the "powers that be"
